Elizabeth McGlynn
Executive Director

Elizabeth McGlynn is the current Executive Director of Girls on the Run of Montgomery County. Before joining GOTR, Elizabeth was the Executive Director of The Professional Health & Fitness Institute, a physical therapy continuing education company, a position she held from 2000 to 2009. Prior to that, Elizabeth was the Executive Director for Cutting Edge Orthopedic, where she served from 1996 to 2000. In both roles, Elizabeth operated and expanded very successful programs and developed a broad base of skills and contacts that will serve her well in this position.
Elizabeth received a BS in Marketing from Clemson University and a Masters of Science in Community Health Education from Old Dominion University. She lives in Bethesda, MD with her husband and four children. Elizabeth has been running since the 3rd grade and competes in various races throughout the DC area.

Marie Wilkerson
Program Manager

Marie Wilkerson serves as Program Manager for Girls on the Run of Montgomery County. She is in charge of site development, policy compliance, program relationships, participant registration, and volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination. With a passion for fitness, Marie enjoys an active lifestyle. Throughout her high school career at Stone Ridge, Marie was a three sport Varsity athlete. She graduated from the University of Maryland and is an enthusiastic Terrapin fan.  Marie majored in Studio Art with a focus in Digital Media and was an active member of her sorority, Delta Delta Delta. Marie grew up in Bethesda, Maryland and still resides in the area. Her interests include coaching lacrosse at the youth level, spending time with her family of seven, and photography.
