Girls on the Run of Montgomery County is a unique, life-changing, after school program for 3rd through 8th grade girls designed to promote healthy habits and an active lifestyle.
The dynamic 9-10 week program combines training for a 5k (3.1 mile) running race with education and interactive discussions about critical issues that will affect pre-teen girls as they reach adolescence. Trained coaches teach “life’s lessons” to girls through fun and clever running games and workouts.
Our goal is that girls completing the program are physically, mentally, and emotionally stronger and better prepared to overcome the challenges and pressures of adolescence and beyond.
Girls on the Run of Montgomery County is an Affiliate Council of Girls on the Run International®, which has a network of over 140 chapters across the United States and Canada.
