Why Should I get Involved with the MCM Training Team?
We use the power of running to make a difference for our girls, and now we are using it to make a difference for you! This is more than just a fundraising program, it is a chance to make a difference in a young girl’s future by equipping her with the tools she needs to be a healthy, confident, and successful woman. By participating on the 2008 Girls on the Run MCM Team you will be raising money to provide scholarships for girls to participate in Girls on the Run of Montgomery County.
What type of support will I receive?
Girls on the Run of Montgomery County will support you through your training and fundraising journey. As a Team participant you will receive, guaranteed and free entry to the 2008 Marine Corps Marathon (limited to the first 25 participants), training with the Montgomery County Road Runners First Time Marathon program, individual coaching assistance from experienced marathoners and Girls on the Run coaches who are certified by the Road Runners Club of America,a technical team t-shirt, incentive prizes, an individualized fundraising webpage and fundraising strategy support. And more than the specific benefits, you will gain a sense of confidence and achievement that comes from completing a marathon while making a difference in the lives of our girls.
How do I get started and what do I have to do?
Register for the Girls on the Run Training Team by submitting this form. Then pay a $125 non-refundable registration fee, 100% of which counts toward your Agree to raise a minimum of $1,000 for Girls on the Run of Montgomery County, Train, raise money, run the 2008 Marine Corps Marathon, and have fun!
