On Becoming a Coach
All GOTR of Montgomery County, Inc. coaches must be CPR certified and trained in a very well-developed, well-researched curriculum used successfully by GOTR International®.
To coach, one must complete our volunteer application, and our non-compete agreement, and agree to a criminal background check at the expense of GOTR of Montgomery County.
Advantages
In addition to the wonderful experience of working with the girls, volunteer coaches receive discounts on New Balance running apparel, 10% discount at all Metro Run/Walk stores, and early registration priviliges for their child to participate in a Girls on the Run of Montgomery County. Program fees are also discounted, and Community 5k fees are waived. We are currently working to secure additional discounts at other local establishments.
